Tough On Crime ?

Just thought the world might like to know that my car's been broken into again, second time in just over a year. Nothing stolen this time - they were after the Sat Nav, which I'd taken out.

I know the government tells us that crime is down. The problem is, no one seems to believe them, and I certainly don't. Obviously reported crime is going to be down, because people realise that there's absolutely no point in reporting anything. But when we're told that real, actual crime is down too, does anyone really think it is ?

I don't, but maybe I'm just a cynical old fool who doesn't believe anything this government says...
