All I Can Say Is....

...he'd better be good.

All the "experts" in the Press seem to think he is. Some of them will be saying that because they genuinely believe that, some will be saying it just because he isn't English.

His track record is fantastic, but then again so was Sven's. He's supposed to be a tough disciplinarian, which is what we need more than anything. There are, frankly, some arrogant, idle, money-grabbing, under-managed under-performers in that team who need to be told that either they play for England as if their lives depended on it (i.e. in the same way that the supporters would, given the chance) or they sod off and do something else.

On the downside his English is reputed to be poor, and given that getting even the basics across to some of our lads in their own mother tongue appears to be too difficult for some, the concept of having to go through an interpreter to explain complex playing systems isn't exactly attractive. He's also meant to be defensive-minded, which worries me, because whenever we invite teams onto us we get stuffed.

Still, Womble On Tour is ready to give most things a go, so let's say "buona fortuna" to the guy and see what happens.
