So the three teenagers who murdered Gary Newlove have received "life" sentences. One will, supposedly, serve a minimum sentence of 17 years, another 15 and the other 12. So by the time they're 40 or younger, they'll be out. Hardly life imprisonment, is it ?
I don't support the death penalty because of the risk of getting the verdict wrong. If we could be absolutely 100% sure that anyone was guilty of this kind of murder I'd happily pull the trap door open myself. In the absence of that certainty, these bastards should never see the light of day again (unless or until they win an appeal, of course !)
Why, oh why, should these people ever be free to walk the streets, and why, oh why, should we ever be put at risk again by their presence amongst us ?

Abso-fragging-lutely. Those scumbags should be spending the next few decades counting bricks and bars until the day they undergo involuntary immobilisation.
Sometimes there isn't justice. I don't agree with the death penalty either, but why should an innocent die at the hands of these young thugs who will be able to go on and live their lives again in the forseeable future.
