Dumping Defra's Rubbish

Good to see that Number 10's had the sense to dump the Bin Tax.

Defra's absurd idea would never have worked, would have resulted in a huge increase in fly-tipping, and would have meant we'd have had to padlock our bins to stop other people filling them with rubbish.

Those councils who spent a small fortune putting chips in everyone's bins must be a bit hacked off, as must all their residents who'll end up paying the price.

But it's never too late to bin a bad idea.
